How to Subscribe to the Connection & Use Connection at FA Meetings Page

FA In-Person Meetings

Instructions for Ordering a Meeting Subscription 

1. Login to your FA Profile from www.foodaddicts.org

2. From the Subscriptions section, click on Subscribe to Connection to open this webpage: https://www.foodaddicts.org/order-subscription 

3. Scroll down to Print Subscription and select the For your Meeting (ONLY if Connection Rep) radio button. 

4. Click on the orange “Add to Order” button 

5. Proceed to checkout and complete the transaction.

When the Connection Rep service position rotates to a new Connection Rep, please submit a Meeting Change Request** and the Connection’s subscription mailing address will update to the new Connection Rep. 

**These designated meeting contacts can submit meeting changes: Meeting Contact 1 & 2, WSI Contact, Intergroup Contact 1 & 2, Chapter Contact 1 & 2.

Please consider having two, three, or more print subscriptions depending on the size of your meeting. All FA meetings using Connection magazine should have a meeting subscription to Connection.

FA Videoconference Meetings

Connection Rep (or whoever would like to be designated to have your meeting’s official digital subscription) should purchase a “personal” digital subscription in their FA profile and use it for the virtual Connection meeting. (There is no formal way to order a “digital MEETING subscription” at this time.) 

It’s important that the Connection Rep purchase a digital Connection subscription for your meeting, rather than using the Stories of Recovery/Connection page link. You will have the newest stories and also the amazing art! Buying a subscription supports the cost of producing the magazine.

Instructions for Ordering a Digital Subscription 

1. Login to your FA Profile from www.foodaddicts.org

2. From the Subscriptions section, click on Subscribe to Connection to open this webpage: https://www.foodaddicts.org/order-subscription

3. Scroll down to Digital Subscription and click on the orange “Add to Order” button 

4. Proceed to checkout and complete the transaction.

When the Connection Rep service position rotates to a new Connection Rep, please contact web@foodaddicts.org to change the subscription to the new Connection Rep. 

How to Use Connection at a Telephone Meeting

During your meeting, the Connection Rep can either read their own print subscription or download a PDF of their digital copy and email it to whoever is reading Connection at the telephone meeting. Subscriptions support the cost of producing the magazine, so please encourage members of the meeting to also subscribe to Connection.

How to Use Connection at a Videoconference Meeting

During your meeting, whoever has your meeting’s official subscription can either share Connection on their screen as a cohost, or download a PDF of their digital copy and email it to whoever is sharing their screen during your meeting. 

Share Connection on Screen from FA Website

1. Login to your FA Profile from www.foodaddicts.org

2. From the Subscriptions section, click on Read Digital Connection to open this webpage: https://www.foodaddicts.org/read-digital-connection 

3. The current issue will appear in the main window. Click on the link from a past issue to view in the main window.

   

4. When you are ready to Share Connection at the Zoom Meeting:

   1. Click on Share at the bottom of your Zoom window. 

   2. Select the Connection Screen from the Screens Window, then click Share. 

5. For the best view, click on the four arrows to make it full screen. 

• Use the right arrow to move to the next page. Use the left arrow to go to the previous page.

• Use the + / - button at the bottom of the screen to zoom in / out.

• Press Escape to exit Full Screen View. 

Share Connection on Screen from PDF

1. Login to your FA Profile from www.foodaddicts.org

2. From the Subscriptions section, click on Read Digital Connection to open this webpage: https://www.foodaddicts.org/read-digital-connection 

3. The current issue will appear in the main window. Click on the link from a past issue to view in the main window.

   

4. Click the down arrow at the bottom of the screen to download the PDF. 

5. Save the PDF to the desired location on your computer.

6. Find the PDF on your computer and open the PDF file.

7. Click on read mode from the display panel and use the up/down arrow or type the page number to navigate to the article.

   

8. When you are ready to Share Connection at the Zoom Meeting:

   1. Click on Share at the bottom of your Zoom window.

   2. Select the Connection PDF from the Screens Window, then click Share. 

9. Use the + / - button at the bottom of the screen to zoom in / out.

10. Click stop share when you are done with Connection.
