For the first time ever, the FA World Service Business Convention will be accessible to voting members and attendees BOTH ONLINE AND IN-PERSON.

In person experience:

Participate in WSBC business sessions as well as shared social events and meals. The in person experience will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 50 Ferncroft Road, Danvers, MA 01923.

Online experience:

Participate in WSBC business sessions online. Voting members online will be able to speak using zoom and use a secure platform to vote. Non-voting members will be able to watch deliberations, commitee reports, and the 20 years sharing meeting.

Convention Costs

• Register to participate in person: $70 Estimated Cost - to be finalized when registration launched
• Register to participate virtually online: $120 Extimated - to be finalized when registration launched

Why are the costs different?

In order to connect FA members around the world to the World Service Business Convention, FA is facing new costs in 2025 including the use of video equipment and the services of a Parliamentary meeting facilitation firm skilled with helping organizations run secure hybrid meetings where people in person and online can have a smooth experiencing participating and voting. The price of registration to attend virtually reflects these costs. The price of registration to attend in person understands that in-person attendees will incur additional costs for travel, meals, and hotel accomidations.

Information for in person attendees

• Hotel reservations are not included in your FA Convention reservation. You must book your room separately. BOOK HOTEL ROOM AT DOUBLETREE
• Mini-refrigerators and microwaves are available in all guest hotel rooms. A limited number of larger refrigerators and microwaves will be available in the hotel hospitality suites throughout the weekend.
• If the Doubletree fills up, we have also opened an overflow room block at the Sonesta Select in Danvers, MA with limited availability. Please note, you will need to arrange your own form of transportation to get to the convention. BOOK HOTEL ROOM AT SONESTA SELECT
• CANCELATION PROCEDURE: Please cancel your room reservation at the DoubleTree by Hilton or Sonesta Select directly with the hotel — the FA Office does not handle room cancellations. 
• Meal Plan: We provide only one food plan for the Business Convention. Members that choose not to buy the food plan are welcome to bring their own food and eat in the hospitality suites provided by the hotel. If you are planning to arrive past 7:00pm on Friday, May 31, please arrange for your own meal, as the hotel will not serve latecomers. Note you will not be allowed to change your meal plan after you have paid/registered. VIEW MEAL PLAN

Ride and Lodging Sharing List 

FA has created an online Ride and Lodging Sharing List where members can indicate if they need or can offer to share a ride or provide or share lodging. To submit a request, change your submission, or to view member responses, click on the Ride and Lodging Sharing.

Apply for a WSI Board Officer or Committee Chair Position

Proposed Motions

As determined at the 2008 WSBC, motions can be submitted by Intergroups, Chapters, WSI Committees, or the WSI Board. Proposed motions will be posted soon.

Motion Discussion Calls

Videoconference calls to help prepare WSC (voting) Members for the 2024 Business Convention will be held on the following dates and times. Voting members are strongly encouraged to attend one of these calls to participate in the discussion and questions about the five motions on this year's agenda. The dates, times, and login links for motion discussion calls will be posted soon.

Attend the Business Convention

The purpose of FA's annual World Service Business Convention (WSBC), as dictated by our bylaws, is to bring World Service Conference (WSC) members of individual meetings together as a representative body to govern the corporate entity of FA. The focus will be on World Service Inc. (WSI) business and service at the organizational level. All are welcome to attend.
