The College Outreach Subcommittee educates students about Food Addiction and recovery in FA

The College Outreach Subcommittee is tasked with reaching out to colleges and universities worldwide throughout the year and especially in connection with National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (NEDA) in late February.

• Expands FA’s capacity to reach college students worldwide though raising awareness about FA as a resource for College Health & Counseling Centers. 
• Provides resources for National Eating Disorders Awareness Week outreach and education.
• Works with FA members to provide local colleges with FA resources and in-person workshops. 

Ways to do service with the College Outreach Subcommittee:

• If you see a place on a college website where you think a link to the FA website would be appropriate, please send that webpage to collegeoutreach@foodaddicts.org. (Often, these include: college health care, counseling service, and NEDA-related pages.)
• Send personalized letters or emails to your alma mater or local institution of higher education to raise awareness about FA. (See templates below.)
• Serve as an Area Coordinator for College Outreach. This includes mailing literature to local colleges and/or coordinating information sessions at local colleges.
