Media Watch
The Media Watch Subcommittee monitors the conversation about food addiction in the media, and reaches out to educate about FA
- Media Watch coordinates efforts to spread the word via print, radio, television, and the internet.
- The service takes many forms. When FA members identify relevant media items, the team members send out letters to authors or other relevant professionals mentioned in the item to educate them about the FA Program. Based on responses, team members send literature to interested parties.
- Email inquiries to mediawatch@foodaddicts.org.
Service Opportunity:
- Any FA member can do service by sending us articles about food addiction or obsession, including topics such as obesity, under-eating, bulimia and related health risks. Email mediawatch@foodaddicts.org with a link to the article, and we will reach out to the contacts mentioned.
- If you're looking to do more service, we are also adding members to our team that responds to these articles. This service can be done anytime and anywhere. For more information, please take a look at the role description or contact mediawatch@foodaddicts.org.
