The Forum

Business Convention 2023

The Forum gives us all the opportunity to share what has worked and what has not worked in reaching the newcomer, starting and maintaining healthy meetings, and maintaining our own recovery from food addiction. It will include several break-out sessions, during which recovering food addicts with experience in service will share about a specific topic followed by an open discussion.

Past break-out session topics have included  "Meetings Working Together to Reach the Newcomer: LSG-Driven Public Information," "A Day in the Life on the Frontier," "Demystifying the 12 Traditions of FA," and "The FA Solution: Why We Do What We Do"

Please note that there is no additional charge for The Forum, but to attend it you must register for the Business Convention.

For questions, contact sgsc@foodaddicts.org.

We’ll also collect ideas from the group on what our committee can do to support the newcomer.

Breaking through the Language Barrier: A Guide to Using Technology to Carry the Message Internationally (Grand Ballroom III)

FA members will share how they use interpretation and technology to share the message of recovery in multiple languages and welcome members from around the world. Join us to learn how you can help carry FA's message internationally and foster an inclusive recovery community.

Public Information Sessions in a Virtual Age: A Guide for Meetings  and Local Service Groups (Grand Ballroom IV)

This session will explore new public information service opportunities in the virtual landscape. We will break down the steps to producing a PI session online into manageable pieces and explain how to put attendees in the seats in a way that already shows proven results.
